How do we use a telescope?

Where can I read about it.Do I have to join an astronomy club to learn. And how can i find about a local astronomy club. Can my elementary school kids join an astronomy club ?

    Yes, join an astronomy club. Hands-on experience is the best, and the other amateurs will be happy to help you learn. Yes, school kids can join astronomy clubs (usually). Where to find them depends on where you live.

    Joining your local astronomy club is the best way to learn how to use your telescope.

    You can check the AL (Astronomical League) for a club near you. See the link below.

    At my club elementary kids can join but only with a parent. We encourage families to involved together in the hobby of astronomy.

    Many astronomy clubs have daytime programs and will visit your elementary school and deliver a presentation if you ask them.
