Space travel started in the 60s, but for some reason we’ve been progressing so slowly with it. Any thoughts?

I don’t think it ever will. The distances we have to overcome to get to other solar systems are to vast. It pretty much rules out interstellar travel in any form or fashion conceivable today. Also, are not too many interesting things happening on any of the other planets around us…. so why bother?

    It will be sometime off.

Space travel is Very expensive and currently serves no purpose for the average person

Travel between stars is unlikely to occur for tens of thousands of years because to make it practicle in a human lifetime a paradyne shift has to ocur in our understanding of the the universe. We need a way to avoid the C speed limit. Currently we have none. THough I tend to be positive about us finding a way. Though I have no reason for that.

After schools have been more active in getting children interested in science, and those children have become adults and started voting.
