I sincerely hope not, considering my country has spent millions of pounds preparing for the 2012 Olympics!

Nobody knows. If you find one, invite her or him to your Facebook account : )

The whole idea is based off of a faulty mathematical formula. Many old civilizations used this formula to determine how months and years were divided. Basically the formula can only compute to 12 21 12. after that it basically doesn’t have any answer. Deciding the end of the world off of this is completely nonsensical.

Certain kinds of calenders end in 2012, which is odd. I myself believe that something big is going to happen in 2012, but not necessarily the end of the world.

It’s a common thing in history. Someone is always crying about the sky falling. Eventually disaster strikes and the doomsayers happen to be right. Eventually something will happen on global scale even if it’s simply the sun getting larger.
As far as 2012? That’s just some Mayan version of what we had with our computers in 2000. The clock resets. Nothing happens.

stupid and idiot who believe this nonsense …

    Question beast.

Some ignorant person started rumors after hearing that the Mayan calender ended in 2012. Now, rather than realizing that the calender must have ended some time, they thought that 2012 was somehow significant and now this stupid propaganda has spread. The Mayans did not predict the end of the world, they couldn’t even predict their own destruction. To follow them is ridiculous because there is now evidence to support the idea that all humans will die that day.

impossible if really think the world is going to end it might happen now

  12. paperboysz on August 19, 2010 at 9:58 am

Yes, and there’s more evidence that it will end than just the Mayan calendar. The novelty theory, or timewave zero theory, also supports this event. This theory is based on a computer programming that graphs the magnitude and timing of various world occurrences leading up to “timewave zero” in 2012.

No its not gonna end in 2012…We will not know the hour nor time when this day will occur…also their are more things that will happen in the world before the day will arrive…

What you’re talking about is people and their opinions about what will happen. My opinion is that 2012 is already here and we just don’t know it yet. When you stop and think that eternity for some souls is just a matter of seconds minutes and days. Forever is a lot of single days strung together over a long period of time. For some of us the end of the world has already come and we’re just floating along on a different dimension thinking that this reality is all there is. You can live that way or should I say we can exist like that but it wont change what’s coming whatever there is that’s coming. The better situation is to live with belief and purpose for what you believe in. Whatever you believe in is what happens to you at the time of transition. Life and death is all a part of the same process.
